Melissa+Garrett=Wedding {sneakpeek}
Posted on May 24, 2010
Melissa is a friend from home, we rode horses together during our teenage years. Once we competed a the Georgia International Horse Park (where the 2006 Olympics was held) as a team where each rider trades horses and guess who won? :) Yep, winning that competition paid for my Ariat dress boots that I still wear these days when I ride. When we headed off to college, we lost touch as many people so. Thank goodness for Facebook! When Melissa was searching for a photog, a mutual friend informed her I was now a wedding photographer and we reconnected. I was so honored to be a part of their wedding, Melissa had grown into a confident and beautiful woman.
Here are a few portraits:

I’m going to Cavalia in ATL!!!
Posted on December 1, 2009
I’m not really sure when it started, but horses have always been on my mind. I begged and begged my parents for a horse. We lived on 5 acres….horses live on 5 acres…. we should have a horse, right? I mean, why not? They eat grass. My dad wouldn’t have to mow… free fertilizer, it really seems like a win/win for everyone. I guess it was in a way–but not in a way that anyone was expecting.
It’s not like I woke up one day and decided I was going to ride horses, they have been part of me for as long as I can remember. I don’t know why. No one in my family rode, I didn’t have any friends with horses, I just knew I needed to be around them. Learning how to ride has given me more than I can express in written words: I blossomed into a confident, compassionate, tough, organized, calm, creative, reflective, thoughtful, crazy horse person.
Horses brought me more confidence than anything I have ever know. And for this, I will forever be grateful.
Thankfully, I have the amazing opportunity to see the show Cavalia in Atlanta around Christmas time with my husband and family. It is a tremendous gift to see these amazing athletes–horses and riders.
Here are a few pics of me from the EARLY years:

Jennifer & Brian Sneak Peek!!!

Jennifer and I grew up riding horses, going to school, and church together since we were about 14. Planning and bring “girly” was never Jens thing, she’d call me and talk about how she wasn’t really the wedding/girly/pink planner that most girls are expected to be. however, just take a look at the pics on Facebook or My Proofing Site, I think she did an amazing job!
Congrats, Jen and Brian
